Meet Natalie Groot
Fun facts:
I went to the International School of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for the first, second, and third grades. I had a fascination with the many layers of a rainforest (which did not help my socialization when I returned to the US for the fourth grade) and had 12 turtles (my favorite of which was named “Sanka,” after the lead character from Cool Runnings).
If I weren’t a lawyer, I would be …
a buyer for the Container Store. Organization is key.
My heroes are …
change makers and those dedicating themselves to making the world more equal.
The most unusual thing in my office is …
a stuffed alligator named “Litigator.” (Lawyer humor is the best.)

I sent a MintzEdge client an email recently advising the company on how best to navigate what had become a tricky employment relationship. The CEO responded: “The lessons are coming hard and fast and it’s great!” Our MintzEdge clients are on the verge of so much success, and they are seeking guidance from attorneys in all practice areas at Mintz. I love working with our new and emerging companies as they bring on new talent, understand their obligations under wage and hour laws, develop policies to benefit employees and protect the company, and call me when something has gone not exactly as planned.
