Meet Benjamin Zegarelli
Fun facts:
I love riding my motorcycle around the back roads of Connecticut any chance I can get. I read Tarot cards, and a reading I did accurately predicted that my wife and I would have a baby girl.
If I weren’t a lawyer, I would be …
An anthropologist or historian. I disliked history growing up, but over time I became fascinated with interactions between human cultures and the impact of humans on the world.
What’s the most unusual thing in my office?
I have microscopy images of crystalized alcohols (specifically, bourbon and oatmeal stout) printed on canvas hanging on my office walls. A little reminder of my chemistry days.
Here are some of the companies I’ve helped to grow and thrive:
Butterfly Network, Inc.
Hyperfine, Inc.
Molecular Testing Labs
ProKidney Corp.

I’ve always been fascinated by science and technology—computers (software and hardware), chemistry, biology, physics, you name it! When I was in high school, I even had a startup of my own with the mission to teach senior citizens how to use their computers and to fix anything that went wrong with them. Needless to say, that business didn’t work out, and I went on to pursue an education in biology and chemistry, eventually leading to a master’s degree in chemistry and a job in the pharmaceutical industry. Again, that career path ended early, but it led me to realize that I wanted to work in life sciences in a different capacity—and becoming an FDA regulatory attorney was the perfect fit. My practice focuses on helping life sciences companies of all types and sizes mitigate regulatory compliance concerns and obstacles relating to product design, manufacturing, and marketing while helping clients achieve commercial success.
